Thomas Zurbuchen to receive Stratton Prize 2025

I am American - I am Swiss - and, I find it very easy to be both because both countries stand for freedom, opportunity, and entrepreneurship, values I live by each and every day.

This week, I was very excited to have been honored by the American Swiss Foundation with the Stratton Prize which recognizes outstanding achievements in fostering intercultural understanding between Switzerland and the USA. The award ceremony was particularly important to me as Ashwin Lalendran was interviewing me on stage, my long-time mentee who has turned into one my mentors as well. He was the founder of MPoweredEntrepreneurship when I founded the University of Michigan Center for Entrepreneurship at University of Michigan, and he has built a huge career straddling technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

I was particularly excited to meet Ambassador Ralf Heckner who has such important work in DC right now. Thanks to all who nominated me and were part of making this recognition a reality.

Much appreciated!
